I'm Getting Transferred, Baptism & Mud - November 14, 2018

Hey!

Shirley got baptized on Saturday and she was so funny. She is like 80 years old and is just super excited for the church. Five minutes before the service was supposed to start she gets up and starts walking to the font and goes its time! I'm ready! We had to pull her back in because there were talks and stuff. It was funny. I then sang on Sunday come thou fount. That was fun and a good time. We also got stuck in the mud trying to give people cookies and brother fisher and Hannah fisher came and saved us. That was good. On thursday we built this shed for some recent converts. One person said it was like building a Lego set from Good will, But we finished it this week. Shirley's baptism was great. She is a sweet old lady, at the end of it she came up to hug me and pulled me in there's nothing I could do. Sunday was good, she got confirmed and then we had a Sunday social with the ward it was fun it was at this guys house and its my dream home. I will try to describe it on Monday. Monday was good we had a lesson, and on Tuesday we had a lesson with brother wait, the guy who owns the house. He is a Crack up so it was fun. We then had dinner with Becky who got baptized 3 weeks ago and she is doing great. She had dinner with us and a couple of members. That's been our week really. It's been good. I'm getting transferred to Hiram, Ohio. it is a small town near a church historic site. so that will be cool. my new comp is Elder Baldwin (His mom is my mom's second cousin. She is a Prettyman). I am sad to leave this area, the people, and my comp, but it will be fun in Hiram.

Big News! November 7, 2018

Hey! 
My week was good. Big news! Our p-day starting the 19th of November will be moved to Monday. Salt Lake wants it so that's what it will be. So keep that in mind. We also have a baptism Saturday! Shirley is so excited and it will be great. Two baptisms in one transfer! It's been awesome. We also helped a couple from the ward move. She breeds and shows dogs so we helped move a bunch of cages and I got to see a bunch of puppies! It was a good time. We went on exchanges yesterday and that was fun. I went with elder Harmon and we visited one guy with tons of swords and knives so that was sweet. BUT the highlight of the week was our stake held a sacred music festival and it was with a ton of Baptist choirs and stuff. They were shouting and screaming hallelujah, we also got to clap in the chapel. We took shirley and she loved it. Brother wait one of the members in our ward is awesome and he drove us. He's super funny, then I got to sit by Birhter fisher and say Amen a lot to join in. We then drive home and Birhter wait realized no one feeds us so we went back to his house which is BEAUTIFUL with a lake and a zip line and stuff. He then asked his wife to make us breakfast for dinner and we ate with them that night. It was definitely a highlight of the week. Zone conference was good. President and sister Stratford were as awesome as ever. All and all a good week. 

Baptism, Singing, & Cookies - October 31, 2018

Hi! 
The baptism of Becky was awesome! She loved it and Elder hooper did a great job. She was so happy afterwards. I sang at it and it went well. I sang I need thee every hour. I then confirmed her Sunday and that was awesome! She is so Happy to be a member. 
Me and Elder hooper got Elly's ties, and I wore one to her baptism. 
Things in alliance are great! We have been getting a lot done and have been helping some awesome people. We got a referral from. Salt Lake for a lady who is searching for something she feels is missing so we are teaching her. She is awesome. An 85 year old lady and she is super good at the guitar. Shirley another lady we have been teaching decoded she wants to be baptized Nov. 10. So. We have another one coming up next week! It is awesome! 
We have been having lots of fun and stuff. We baked a ton of cookies and took them to members and stuff. We accidentally scared the crap out of two older widows at,8:30 at night but they were excited we Made them Cookies. It has been a good week. Nothing to crazy though. We have been eating with members and that has been fun. We ate at a couple. Named the Bowersocks and they were super nice! That was fun. We also helped a random guy pick up his leaved out of his yard but we couldn't understand a single word he said, oh well.

Becky is Getting Baptized. Halloween, & Solos - October 24, 2018

This week was good. Me and Elder hooper are becoming a lot better friends and Becky's baptism is coming up. Elder Hooper is baptizing her! So exciting. I've been waiting for 9 months to see someone get baptized, so I'm so excited. This week was pretty average besides that though. We helped a member mud a ladies kitchen ceiling. That was fun, Elder Hooper decided we are exactly the same. His name is Brother Fisher he is awesome! We are also are going to go to the trunk or Treat tonight. That will be a good time. You know me and Halloween gotta love it. It's mixed with a chili cook off and we are the judges so that will be fun too. Good one yeah! for the Ohio hat. Ohio is the best. Tell Bruce I'm hyped for him. For most of the days this week we handed out trunk or Treat flyers. Nice! A pub g character. That will be a good costume mom. I need a picture. Me and Elder hooper have been drinking the Oreo hot chocolate its strange but really good. No ties yet. Hopefully Ellys package comes today. I'm doing great! We got to do interviews with President yesterday, and he is awesome so that was fun. The best part of the week is that me and Elder hooper are super good friends. It's been super fun and it's been good. Not to exciting this week. Only think was I ran out of msf. I've been trying to pay for most of everything for Elder Hooper to be nice and never realized how low I was tell yesterday. I learned I have 67¢. Oh well. It's been a good week though.

Tell Elly to Just have a movie night of all the TV show episodes that are Halloween. The office, friends, psych, burn notice, NCIS and stuff for Halloween.

We won't be doing anything for Halloween. We aren't allowed to be in our apt. That night so we just have to do our shopping then and stuff. Our p day next week is from 1-9 not in the morning.

I'm Going to sing for the baptism and probably confirm her. She loves the gospel and is awesome! i will Send pics of her baptism next week. 

A member of the stake presidency found out I sang so he called our bishop. Mid dinner and told him I have to sing on Sunday the 11th So, for the baptism I am going to sing I need thee every hour, and for church come thou fount.

 

Alliance, Halloween ties, & Duke - October 17, 2018

This week was fun! 
We did get the Halloween ties. We have been wearing them. We wore them to the activity too. The activity was fun. Yeah we loved the cinnamon mugs we ate them the next day. Our inv. Are doing good. Becky will be getting baptized Oct. 27th. She is super excited. Just rain no snow. Yeah our apt. Has a good heater and air conditioner. The town is kinda a Rexburg size town with a big Lutheran college in the middle. By our apt. Is a good neighborhood but farther north in alliance is more low income houses. The people are always super nice. The houses are old early 1900 houses. They are awesome. We have a lot of church's here too. They are pretty cool. I will try to take some pics of them. Thursday we had district meeting and it didn't go so well. Just wasn't good. 
We then taught Becky and had dinner with her and her husband. They have a puppy boxer named Duke and it's me and Elder hooper favorite. I will send pics of Duke later. Friday we had weekly planning then had dinner with two widowed ladies in our ward and a husband and wife. It was a lot of fun. The one lady was 92 years old. She loved having everyone over. Saturday was pretty basic just tried to find some new people to teach. Sunday was good. Church was good and Elders quorum was crazy as usual. Monday was a typical Monday. Tuesday we did exchanges and that was fun. We both worked in our area so it helped our area out a ton. All in all a good week. I will email more later 
I'm good. Chugging along. Next transfer I hit my year mark which is crazy. 
I did get the package. Oh yeah we loved it. We have been make hot chocolate a lot. The shirt is my new service shirt. :) It's been good here. Here are the pics

Pumpkins & Baptisms - October 10, 2018

It is good here. We have been working hard and finding some new people to teach. This week was good. It was a fun week due to general conference. We watched one session at a recent convert Brad's house. Then at the church and then at two members houses. It was super good. I love the emphasis on a church centered home. It will be good to help people gain real testimonies. Our inv. Are doing good. We have two on date that are solidly prepared for it. He is doing good. We have been having a fun time. We got the fruit snacks we are excited. The weather is getting colder I will send pics of the leaves. We are running the ym and yw activity tonight. A pumpkin carving contest the only annoying thing is me and Elder hooper have to buy the pumpkins but whatever. Ohio is always exciting. People are always crazy and I do enjoy the seasons I will email later at the laundromat 
Oh yeah our ward is doing a trunk or treat. We are hyped! We are decorating our car for sure. No we can't go out on Halloween. It will be p day. We can go to members houses but that's it. 
Ohio Usually gets a couple feet of snow. It's supposed to be a bad winter so who knows. 
My favorite talk in conference was by Elder Rendlund. He talks about our choice to choose. God doesn't set anyone up for failure. But he leaves it all up to us

Funny Experience? Baptism Coming Up - October 3, 2018

Alliance is good! Me and Elder hooper are staying one more. I'm doing good and super glad I get to stay with elder hooper. All of our inv are doing good. Becky will be getting baptized Oct 27th! Super exciting. Nothing too exciting this week. We haven't been able to meet with the family. Super excited for conference it will be fun. Here is my week ...

This week was good, Thursday was pretty typical. We had district council and then tried to find all day. We taught a couple lessons so that was fun. Friday was about the same. We found, but our one lesson we walked in and this one lady had no pants on. She was bigger, so it saved us but man it was disgusting. We hurried and left. Saturday was good. Typical Saturday. Sunday we had a Sunday social, so Brother Fisher who is the best and coolest member drove us up with his non member daughter. It was fun and then we shared a spiritual lesson and it went super good. Monday we helped Brad get a dresser for his little daughter Anastasia. Yesterday was typical but we did get to drive since new month! So that was nice.'
I'm doing good. I am very happy. My testimony is growing a lot. I've seen how the gospel can help people, if they fully embrace it, and I'm dead set on fully embracing it the rest of my life to have the peace and comfort it brings I'm doing good and my testimony growing like crazy.  We gotta go!
