I handed out my first book of Mormon! - January 31, 2018

Hi!!!! It's been awesome. My trainer is awesome he is so so cool and works super hard. We made cookies for our investigators today. He was the one who did the music devotional and we are making another one too!! I'm in London Ohio a farm town super small branch. I can email 1 hour thirty minutes. I got The packages and letters thank you so much. I live with another companionship and it's super fun. It's so fun out here

We got to the mission house Wednesday night and slept over and ate good food. We then went to Ohio State campus and I handed out my first Book of Mormon! Then I met my trainer and went to work. We have been teaching a family who owns a bakery and are helping them build stools tonight and they are so cool. Elder Rogers and Olsen also live with us and there hilarious. I went on exchanges with another new kid and talked about wrestling. He wrestled Foothill High School last year which is crazy. It's been so fun. Learned a lot and been working like crazy.

I can check emails throughout the week, but we are crazy busy.

Church was good. Super nice members. We have eaten twice with members,  and it's all been good food.

Sayre's First Area - Jan 26, 2018

Elder Davis’s new companion/trainer is Elder Harward.

They are serving in the Madison Lake 1 area in the Columbus Zone.

The Madison Lake Branch is in London, Ohio which is 25 miles southwest of Columbus.

There are now two companionships of Elders serving there.

Letter from Ohio - January 24, 2018

Dear parents,

Your missionaries arrived in Columbus several hours ago. They are at the mission home where they had dinner, interviews and a testimony meeting.

Tomorrow there will be training at the mission home in the morning then they will go to the LDS Institute on OSU campus where they will go out with a missionary serving there to place a Book of Mormon. After lunch there they will go to the chapel next to the temple where they will meet their trainers and leave for their assigned area.

I will send an email with their new addresses on Friday.

Photos are attached from the airport. It doesn’t look like they got a shot of everyone on the escalator. I just got the pictures.

We are so happy they are here with us in the Great OCM (Ohio Columbus Mission)!

Excited to Head to Ohio - Jan 22, 2018

Hi! 

I learned so much in the mtc. I've grown so much. We taught 4 people one real investigator. My Nick name here is peewee Joseph Smith because my answers are always perfect and I have the spirit constantly. So it's what they all call me. My comp is such a good guy. I'm excited to head to Ohio with him and to start teaching. I will send a picture of the plans for tomorrow. My shoes are good. I might need boots, but we will see. I'm doing good. Learning and growing. My jacket is awesome, so I'm warm. We got snow, so we had snowball fights. I'm feeling good and packing today.

Heavenly Father is Definitely Watching Out - Week 2 MTC - January 16, 2018

Things here are weird, it's like a time warp. We didn't know it was MLK day until this morning. It was weird to not know it was a significant date. I got my travel plans I leave at 9 in the morning on the 24th and have lay over in Georgia for an hour. I'll send specific times a little later. I got packages. One from you guys and two from Aaron, Angie, and Collin. They were really nice. I was having a rough day but right when it was getting hard I got the packages. Heavenly father is definitely watching out. This week has been good, went like a blur. On Tuesday we had a devotional and Elder Bednar talked. It was so cool to be in the same room as an apostle of god. A fun thing I did was learn magic tricks with Elder Blossal to use at door approaches. I'm doing ok, it was a harder week then last but not to bad. I don't need much, but food is always appreciated. Ritz crackers and honey are amazing. Oh also...this sweet old guy in our presidency has asked me to give him voice lessons, because he loves singing but isn't good. So, that's been fun. Yeah, my voice is back so I lead sacrament meeting and stuff. I'm feeling a lot better than last week.

I love you all so much.

Awesome Companion & First MTC Pday - 1/9/18

Hi!!! 

I'm doing better then I thought I would. Most of that is due to my companion. He's AWESOME. His name is elder Lowry. He has star wars pops on his desk. He's been a huge help. I'm doing good. I've already learned a lot. I don't really need anything just maybe running shoes for the gym. My district is super cool so it's been fun. I got bottom bunk with my companion above me. My stuff is all good. I can email all day till 6, but we are going to the temple in a little so I might leave for a few hours. P day is Tuesday so u know. And I can read any emails anytime, and they are super nice to get. I'm gonna have to go. I love all of you guys send pictures and updates see you next Tuesday

Other Information ...

My companion is going to Ohio. I got all the packages thank you. Me and him are the only ones who have gotten anything.
My comp is from Colorado, but came from byui, I got the letters too. So Matt blossal is here Marie Osmond son kid. So he saw the pouch couch and he said " you know on the sermon on the mount when Jesus says to give away your pearl to god? He WASN'T talking about that! I want you to keep that the rest of your life, you could make it through hell with that thing!" We've been using it.
All the sisters in my district are going to Vegas. I've been sick and can barely talk, so I haven't been to choir yet. I am the music coordinator for our branch.
