Emails, Conference, & Raking - September 26, 2018

Everything is going good. Alliance is good, getting colder but I can wear my jackets finally. I'm betting I stay. Usually you train them for two transfers. This week we found a new young family to teach they are super nice and want to hear the message. I'm super excited for conference. President Stratford told us there will be a big announcement about missionary work that will affect all of us at general conference. Every missionary loves getting an email. Training is going good. We are having a lot of fun. I will. Email about the week later when we go to do laundry.
This week started with zone conference. Is was good and we heard a lot from our stake president. He is awesome and it helped me a lot. Friday we went on exchanges with our zone leader. I went with elder Dixon. He is technically still in the army so he is pretty intense but super nice. We had a fun time teaching a bunch of crazies. Saturday we found a wonderful little family to teach and taught some other good lessons. Sunday we had church and then rode our bikes around town and raked people's leaves. Monday was a boring day just a lot of finding. Tuesday we had dinner across our entire area and had fun with those members. Nothing to crazy this week.

Softball, Duke, & Wet Shoes - September 19, 2018

Thursday was pretty typical. District meeting and then basic stuff. The best part of that day was our inv. Becky is loving the gospel and so close to baptism. We got to go over for dinner and she made us enchiladas. She also has a really cute puppy named Duke. He is a boxer and very spazzy but he likes me. Friday I went on exchange with my old companion Elder loutz. We had a lot of fun but the only bummer was Brad the recent convert in the area was drinking coffee and beer. It was sad but we moved on. We then contacted a guy named Amos and he was hilarious he kept rhyming and praising god. It was awesome we are now teaching him. Saturday we went and helped an older lady put drywall up on her house. Thank goodness my grandpa taught me how to do it. Then we went to a ward softball game. It was so much fun! I found a mitt so now I have one on the mission. I obviously wrecked everyone. Sunday was Sunday. Monday we went by a member named Sister Moser. She is super kind and having trials right now so we stopped by but we were riding our bikes and it was raining so she was horrified our shoes got wet. So she required her brother to drive us to Walmart and buy rubber shoe guards for us. It was super nice. Yesterday was pretty boring just went finding for some new people to teach.
Today we are doing laundry having lunch at a new food place and shopping then teaching our book of Mormon class. Maybe taking a trip to goodwill for Halloween decorations
The Book of Mormon class is where we read a chapter in the Book of Mormon at the church with members and non members and talk about it and we teach what it means.

PS -You will have to tell grandpa that teaching me how to dry wall provided a huge service. I taught 3 other elders how to do it. And we used the full sheets no cutting of them ðŸ˜‚

Possums, Belief Window, and Low Miles - September 12, 2018

Hey Everybody -
This week has been good. Me and Elder Hooper have been having a lot of fun and working super hard. We have listened to This talk called the Belief Window and it has completely changed my mission. It is awesome. It is by Hyrum Smith you would like it. We didn't do anything crazy exciting this week just the boring stuff, except yesterday we learned our mile allotment and we learned that we have 200 miles left for the rest of the month, which is not very many. So from now on we are pretty much biking elders. It's gonna be a fun time. Zach (Cowdell) is awesome! Super nice. The People here are really nice, the ward has been awesome and the ward mission leader is great. I got my socks! They Are awesome thank you. It is getting colder, but I am the coat smuggler. I have like 6 nice jackets. If you need one let me know. I will email a little later when we do laundry more.

So, I want a motorcycle when I get home. For college and to go on rides. I'll send a pic of  a cool custom bike of one of the college kids that loves next to us.We have a lot of raccoons, possums, deer, beavers, stuff like that.
Yeah,we had some good food this week. Brother Fisher took us out for dinner, which was super nice. We went to this old fifty styles dinner, it was really good, I got a Reuben sandwich. It rained for like 3 days straight it has stopped now. Luckily because we are biking everywhere
My bike is good. It's a nice bike. Yeah I have tons of jackets. I'm good. We got snuffed on miles so we have to bike everywhere now.
Our area is HUGE! Across our area? 3 hours. Across alliance where we usually are 30 min.

Fair & Baptism - September 5, 2018

This week has been pretty good. Me and elder Hooper are having a lot more fun. He is doing good, which I'm happy about, being his dad and all :). We took a lot of pics because we went to a fair so you will get those later. He has all of them on his phone. Thursday was district meeting so it was a pretty normal day. Friday was normal as well. Saturday the sisters had a baptism of a guy named Phil. He is awesome and one of our inv. Went, she cried the whole time. That night we went to the fair. It is the 3 largest fair in the country. It was fun to relive my 4H days. I got to talk to all the kids showing their chickens and stuff it was a good time. Sunday was church so same old same old. The rest of the week was pretty mellow so nothing crazy, Kent state is in my district. It is a HUGE college, a lot of people like it. Kelly would enjoy it. And she would be a super strong addition to the ysa ward.
