Miracles, Easter Dinner, Ashton, Transfers - April 22, 2019

Hey everyone
This week was good. We had some miracles and it is always great to be reminded that Heavenly Father is watching out for us. Brother Burchett called Saturday and invited us for Easter dinner. It was a lot of fun. We met new people and had a great meal. There was a couple from Whales, England and their daughter. The mom made ham for us. Brother Burchett made sweet potatoes. Everyone thought they wouldn't be good, but they were awesome. It was a good day. We had a ward member call us this week. He said that his family was praying and trying to find out how they could help the missionaries (us). They had the impression to buy us groceries. So, we are excited for that. Miracles!
Saturday we went to a baptism. I was able to interview the lady who got baptized. It was a great experience. Her friends all clapped when she got baptized. It was a good, missionary moment.
The teaching pool is tough here. We are teaching a nice couple, but trying to find other people to teach. Columbus is a tough area. We cover the whole city and the outskirts. So, it is a large area. It has been a challenge and a good learning experience. We learned from President today that we are going to be double transferred out next Wednesday. So, don't send any packages that will get here after that. We went on exchanges this week a couple of times so that is always fun.
I got the Easter package. Thanks for the bike tube. We have been using our bikes, and it has been nice. We love the Japanese tops and the toys.
I met a guy from Ashton, Idaho. He went to North Fremont and grew up there. He hasn't been back since high school but that was cool. We also biked by a motorcycle museum and the owner let us come in and look at them. Dad will like them.
Pday will be Wednesday next week because of transfers. We can't wait to see where we are headed.
Have a great week

Suit, No Car, No Meals, and Bed bugs - April 16, 2019

I got the suit this week. It fits. Thank you so much Aaron, Angie and Cole. It is great.  I'm doing good. Our miles this month were 500 to we literally can't use the car anymore because we used that much already . They sent us out the limits today. It takes about 20 miles to get to the nearest member's house. We let the other elders use our bus passes, so we have to get them back now. They are coming over today to sleep here because they have bed bugs. Ohio has tons of bed bugs. It is crazy. I haven't had them yet, but i am sure it will happen. I got Elly's graduation announcement, that is crazy! We were going to use our bikes but I need a new inner tube. Brother Bruchett is going to pick us up today to do laundry at his house. So, that will be good. We don't get to eat at member's houses anymore, so that has been a change. It is hard to have enough money for the month when we have to buy all of the meals. We can eat with non members, but that is it. We are teaching a guy from here. He has some addictions so we are working on that. Miracles can happen. I did my first baptism interview this week being district leader. That was a great experience. He was a solid guy. It was great to meet him. We have been taking a guy out to teach with us. He was putting in his mission papers when he was in a bad car accident. One of his friends died in it. He has been recovering so it has been a cool experience to have him go out and teach with us. A lady from my first area died this week. She was so fun and happy to be around. She will be missed. Things are going well here. We are excited about Easter but can't eat with anyone so we will most likely be home that day. I'll talk to you all next week.

We Got A Car!!! - April 8, 2019

It's been a good week here in marble cliff. We have been working like crazy to find people to teach. Thanks to President Stratford we got a car! We are super excited and are praying it will help us in the work. This week we played Frisbee golf with the ward which was super fun. Elder Rasmussen loves Frisbee golf so he enjoyed it. One of the members had a one wheel which he let us try out. I'll send a video of my companion on it. We then got to watch general conference with Bro. Chen and that was great he made kinda Asian style pulled pork sandwiches and it was so good. We then got to watch it with the Yearsley's and that was fun. He has a drink fridge with tons of sodas which was a plus. My favorite talk was "the immediate goodness of God". God's always willing to help and that's what I've learned this week. This week district council was all focused on the saviors love and it was super sweet! I'll send a Pic of these pictures Elder Klinkowski made.
Everyone loved Elly's ties and scrunchies.

Sad Week, But the Work Moves On - April 1, 2019

It has been a good week. Kind of sad though. We have been visiting a man in the hospital here regularly. He had colon cancer. We went to visit him the other night and couldn’t find him. We were told that he had passed away. That was tough. We also learned this week that a member who had driven us to our last transfer passed away this week as well. He was very good to the missionaries in the whole mission. We are going to go to his funeral. Life is short.
We have been working hard. I ran my first district meeting this week. The other missionaries said it was the best meeting they had been to. I got Elly's ties and scrunches. I am going to give them out at our next district meeting this week.
I am doing good. It is getting a little warmer her. We aren’t allowed to have dinners with member anymore so that is a bummer. It was nice to be able to visit with them. We can only do 20 minute lessons.
We are working on our teaching pool and trying to find service opportunities. I’m doing good. I could use a new suit, so there’s that. :)
I am excited to conference this week. Our mission president said it will be crazy.
Love you all
